THE LAKESIDE STUDIO is now offering GIS mapping and database management services. We started working with ArcGIS 9.3.1 in 2010 and have been working with ArcGIS 10 since its release a few months ago.
Services include the creation, management and updating of databases, as well as on-site data gathering and the design and layout of maps for either printing on paper or distribution electronically. We are also able to perform data queries and some analysis.
Although this is a new direction for our consulting services, this is not our first exposure to GIS. Almost 15 years ago, we utilized Pitkin County's then-fledgling GIS data combined with AutoCad mapping and aerial imagery to develop one of the first locally available land use and infrastructure maps for one of our clients, and that mapping is still in use today.
Mr. Lukes has 35 years of local experience working with the community development departments and GIS data services of towns and counties in the Roaring Fork Valley on land use and planning issues. He is very familiar with local conditions and so can offer an understanding of much of the underlying data and resources that are components of GIS work.
We have the in-house capability of preparing both B&W and full color maps in a variety of sizes up to 24 x 36 and can print maps up to 54" wide by very long lengths using the capabilities of our local print shops.
